Concept

A cabaret-style evening of show tunes and entertainment in support of the annual Harbor to the Bay bike ride and the fight to end HIV/AIDS.  The night featured performances by singers of Opera On Tap Boston, along with raffles and prizes from local participating businesses – with 100 percent of the proceeds raised going directly to Harbor to the Bay’s four beneficiary organizations.

Objective

Implement a fun and memorable fundraising event, partnering with local organizations, to help raise awareness of the continued fight against HIV/AIDs. Raise more than $2,000 annually in for the four beneficiary organizations of the Harbor to the Bay bike ride.

Components

  • Branded event materials, marketed organically, with zero paid advertising
  • Social Media event page and sharing
  • Print flyers and posters
  • Branded event program and signage
  • On-site raffles, featuring prizes from local partners
  • Coordination with Opera on Tap performers, and Club Café venue

Results

  • Raised a combine total of more than $3,800 for Harbor to the Bay
  • Welcomed more than 60 attendees yearly
  • 14 raffle donations from local business partners
